“CYM is a place of peace as I was seeking a place of comfort. It’s a place I found friends & families. CYM taught me to be positive, courageous and to forgive.“
“Our world and especially our young people need us to come around them in prayer to help deal with the issues and pain in their lives. Prayer changes things! I know from my own experience.“

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace.”
Those tender words marked the beginning of the prayer journey I have traveled these past four years. There have been many other journeys throughout my life. Each of these has helped to deepen my relationship with Him and dependence on Him. I know Him to be faithful.
Back in 2016, I was in a world of hurt physically and emotionally. The words from the hymn above helped to turn my eyes from looking at my pain to looking AT Jesus and TO Jesus seeking His mercy. I cried out to Him boldly. Shout if you feel the need. That’s okay to do!
Jesus loves us, He calls us His children. He wants to know we need Him with the big issues in our lives and the very smallest. I wasn’t shy about shouting my pain to Him. I didn’t try to tell Him what I needed. He already knew! But He heard my cries and walked with me through my pain. How much easier it is to bear pain when someone is helping to carry the load!
May YOUR prayers be bold! He is there, waiting to hear them and to respond to them. And together let’s make bold prayers for the learners in the Courage Youth Movement!
